STEMCELL’s 2026 Cell Fate Quiz Character Development & Campaign
What happens when your personality determines your cell fate?
For our Cell Fate Quiz campaign, I brought six cell personalities to life as a cast of charming cartoon characters—each with its own quirks, visual identity, and cellular inspiration. Working from designed personalities and cell reference images, I developed the characters through several rounds of drawing, art direction, and feedback, refining them into a cohesive and lovable cast.
The fun didn’t stop at the illustrations. We partnered with an external vendor to turn the characters into wearable pins, complete with personality cards, giving conference attendees a little piece of their cell fate to take home.
When the campaign debuted at a major conference, the response was incredible. People lined up to take the quiz, discover their designated cell, and claim their favourite character. A little science, a lot of personality—and six very cute reasons to join the queue.

Webpage and Social Media Carousels
The Cell Fate Quiz didn’t stop at the conference. We brought the six characters to life across social media carousels and a dedicated quiz webpage, inviting audiences to discover which cell matched their personality.
The carousels introduced the characters, their quirks, and their cellular superpowers, while the webpage turned the whole thing into a playful personality quiz. Answer a few fun questions, meet your cell fate, and find out what your result says about you.
